Steve's Digital Darkroom

Since about 2002, I’ve done all my photography with digital cameras. The advantages to digital photography are many. It’s a great way to learn photography,. You can see what you shot right away and learn from your mistakes instantly. It relieves the anxiety of wondering whether your subject had their eyes open or was properly exposed or did the camera work at all! If you didn’t get the perfect photo, you’ll know right away and can reshoot.

You can share the photos right away and send them off to friends. Often, the prints that you took with your film camera wound up in a shoe box or tucked away somewhere unseen. There is much more of a tendency to show off the photos created with your digital camera.

For very little investment, you can print your own professional quality photos right at home. You’ll never be stuck for great gifts to give to friends and relatives.

Digital photography is easy and a lot of fun, but it can be a bit daunting for some people at the beginning.

In the coming weeks, I’ll be adding tips, tricks and recommendations regarding digital photography.

In the meantime, feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Click here to see an article that appeared in "PC Photo" magazine in January 2000 that described how I produced my photography at that time

When I decided to start my web site, Basketballphoto.com,  I instituted a nationwide search for the best company to handle the job. By an odd coincidence, the company I chose was owned by my sister, Anna.

As you can see, she does great work. While she can do web sites for most any individual or business, she has particular expertise in dealing with photographers. If you've been intimidated by starting your own site or just don't know where to begin, click on the link below.  I guarantee that you'll be pleasantly surprised at how quickly and inexpensively you can be up and running.

If you're a photographer who wants to show and/or sell your work and/or services, you must have a web site!
